In Christian theology, “The Living Word” refers simultaneously to Jesus Christ (the personal, living manifestation of God) and the Holy Bible (the active, powerful written scriptures). Rather than being a dead text or a historical figure confined to the past, the Living Word represents God’s active communication, presence, and life-transforming power in the world.

The Logos: John 1:1 states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The Greek term used here is Logos, which implies the ultimate logic, reason, and expression of God.
