F@HMonitor (or F@H Mobile Monitor) is a dedicated third-party tracking tool designed for the Folding@home (F@H) distributed computing project. It allows power users to remotely track, manage, and benchmark their active folding rigs.

The utility provides real-time oversight of computer hardware performance while it simulates protein dynamics to research complex diseases. Core Functionality

Remote Rig Monitoring: You can connect to your remote folding machines by inputting the host IP address, port (typically 36330), and your remote access password.

Progress Tracking: The app monitors your ongoing Work Units (WUs). It provides metrics like Points Per Day (PPD), estimated time of completion (ETA), and frame time.

Performance Benchmarking: It archives completed WUs so you can analyze which hardware setups produce the most efficient output. Setting Up Remote Access

To track your folding progress on F@HMonitor, your folding client must be configured to broadcast data to your network:

Network Authorization: In your primary Folding@home Client Settings, you must whitelist your local subnet (such as 192.168.1.0/24) to permit internal data requests.

Password Protection: Assign a strong remote access password in the client configuration to ensure your rigs remain secure.

App Linkage: Input the target rig’s local IP address and matching password into F@HMonitor to build a live data stream. Alternative and Modern Solutions

If you use modern iterations of the folding software, alternative options exist:

HFM.NET: A widely utilized, highly detailed legacy open-source desktop monitoring alternative.

F@H V8 Native Web Control: The latest official software releases (V8+) include integrated, mobile-friendly Web Control Accounts. By creating an official login, you can safely monitor all your linked folding rigs natively from any smartphone web browser without needing third-party mobile utilities.
